Life and death are inseparable, yet we remain accustomed to viewing death negatively, as if it were something unrelated to us. In Ryu Yejun’s work, this 'invisible death' is given form through the face of 'Mori', a figure with faint and indistinct features, transforming death into something tangible that can be seen and contemplated before us. Through this gesture, the artist reminds us that death is the final process that every living being inevitably reaches. In doing so, the recognition of death ultimately brings the preciousness and intensity of life into sharper focus.
